Rose

Scientific name of Rose is Rosa and name comes from the Latin word Rosa. Many roses are cultivated for their beautiful flowers, which range in colour from white through various tones of yellow and pink, maroon, red, and most have a delightful fragrance, which varies according to the variety and to climatic conditions.

Types of Roses are:

There are more than 100 species of rose available in India. The cultivars can be divided into Old Garden and Modern roses and these into several well recognized sub groups.For those unfamiliar with roses, the wide variety of roses available can be a bit overwhelming. Types of Roses are:

Control and Prevention of rose:

1.Black spot

Prevent black spot by choosing rose varieties that are resistant to it. It will also help to water roses in the early morning and at ground level to avoid leaves sitting with water on them. Fungicide sprays can help stop the spread and heal rose bushes. Begin treatment as soon as you spot this disease. Removing fallen leaves will also help stop the spread of black spot.

2. Mosaic virus

Once mosaic sets in, it cannot be cured. Affected plants will need to be removed and destroyed.

3. Rust

Prevent rust by selecting disease-resistant varieties and giving plants plenty of space to breathe. Fungicides can be used to stop the spread of rust.

Rose water is created by filter rose petals with steams. Rose water is fragrant, and its sometimes used as a mild natural fragrance as an alternative to chemical-filled perfumes.

Its been used traditionally in both beauty products and food and drink products. It also comes with plenty of potential health benefits, including the following.
