जल जैसे बहुमूल्य संसाधन के अत्यधिक दोहन को रोकने के लिए भारत सरकार ने वर्ष 2013-14 में राष्ट्रीय कृषि विकास योजना (RKVY) के अंतर्गत फसल विविधीकरण कार्यक्रम (Crop Diversification Programme - CDP) को एक उप-योजना के रूप में शुरू किया। यह योजना हरियाणा राज्य के सभी जिलों में, महेंद्रगढ़ को छोड़कर, लागू की जा रही है।किसानों को प्रोत्साहित करने के लिए राज्य सरकार ने मक्का की खेती पर ₹3000 प्रति एकड़ तथा मूंग, उड़द और अरहर जैसी दलहनी फसलों पर ₹3600 प्रति एकड़ प्रोत्साहन राशि देने का निर्णय लिया है।कृषि तकनीक को बढ़ावा देने के लिए पावर स्प्रे पंप पर लागत का 50% या ₹3000 (जो भी कम हो) तथा मक्का प्लांटर पर सामान्य वर्ग के किसानों को लागत का 40% या ₹72,000 (जो भी कम हो) और SCSP किसानों को लागत का 50% या ₹90,000 (जो भी कम हो) की सहायता प्रदान की जाएगी। यह सहायता योजना के दिशा-निर्देशों के अनुसार मक्का प्लांटर खरीदने वाले किसानों को दी जाएगी। प्रोत्साहन राशि सत्यापन के बाद SNA SPARSH मॉड्यूल के माध्यम से सीधे किसानों के बैंक खातों में भेजी जाएगी।फसल विविधीकरण कार्यक्रम के क्रियान्वयन पर राज्य सरकार द्वारा ₹8.00 करोड़ की राशि व्यय की जाएगी।

To overcome an exploitation of such expensive resource i.e. water, Govt. of India introduced Crop Diversification Programme (CDP) as sub scheme under RKVY during 2013-14 . The scheme is being implemented in all the districts of the Haryana state except Mahindergarh . In order to encourage the farmers, the State Government has decided to provide an incentive of Rs. 3000/- per acre for Maize and Rs. 3600 / - per acre for pulses like Moong, Urd and Arhar. To improve farm technology, an assistance @ 50% of the rate of per Power Spray pump or Rs. 3000/- whichever is less and assistance @ 40% of the rate of per Maize planter or Rs. 72000/- whichever is less for General and assistance @ 50% of the rate of per Maize planter or Rs. 90000/- whichever is less for SCSP farmers will be given to the farmers who will purchase the Maize planter as per guidelines of the scheme. The incentive will be disbursed in the farmer’s bank accounts through SNA SPARSH module after verification. An amount of Rs. 8.00 crore would be spent by the State Government on implementing the Crop Diversification Programme.
